Susanne Schaller

Designer and Journalist

Susanne, born in Franconia with a deep passion for Roma Antica in the heart.
After her studies in Art History and Communication in Germany as well as a degree in Stage Design in Italy she gained her first work experience in the Corporate Design Division of a renowned German toy manufacturer. In the ’90s she followed her love to Rome and today she works as a freelance graphic designer and journalist in Italy and Germany.
Her work focuses on visual communication and interdisciplinary design processes at the intersection between art, technology and society.
She has been Novum Magazine’s long-time correspondent and published articles in both Italian and German magazines like Rundschau (Haute couture). Since 2020 she has been contributing regulary to the design magazin Form and the new Grafikmagazin.
Her small design practice schaller|bild+text works across visual identity, print, web, packaging and creative strategies for international clients.
She is a member of the Deutscher Presse Verband (DPV) and Associazione della Stampa Estera in Italia.
